Position: Aircraft Avionics Technician

Location: Goodyear, AZ

The Aircraft Avionics Technician is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing aircraft electronic systems and components. This position supports aircraft reliability and operational readiness by helping ensure avionics equipment functions correctly and meets applicable maintenance and safety requirements.

The ideal candidate will have practical knowledge of aircraft avionics systems, electrical troubleshooting, and aircraft maintenance procedures, with the ability to identify faults, perform repairs, and document completed work accurately.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair aircraft avionics systems and electronic components

• Diagnose electrical and electronic system malfunctions using appropriate test equipment and troubleshooting procedures

• Perform operational checks and functional testing to verify system performance

• Install, remove, and replace avionics components and related equipment as required

• Interpret aircraft wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation

• Identify system faults and recommend appropriate corrective actions

• Complete maintenance records and document inspections, troubleshooting activities, and repairs

• Follow applicable maintenance procedures, technical instructions, and workplace safety requirements

• Coordinate with other maintenance personnel to support aircraft maintenance activities and resolve technical issues

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• General knowledge of aircraft avionics and electrical systems

• Ability to troubleshoot electronic components and aircraft system faults

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation

• Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and avionics maintenance tools

• Ability to follow technical instructions and established maintenance procedures

• Ability to document maintenance activities accurately and communicate technical findings

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position involves aircraft maintenance activities in an aviation maintenance environment. Work may include inspecting aircraft systems, troubleshooting electronic components, and performing repairs using appropriate tools and equipment.
