You will ensure aircraft readiness, inspect and repair systems, and manage a team of mechanics to complete tasks on time.ResponsibilitiesAircraft Maintenance: Oversee repairs on aircraft systems (engine, gearbox, rotor, avionics, etc.) using appropriate tools and equipment, including structural work, rigging, surface controls, and hydraulic systems.Certifications: Obtain and maintain CDQAR (Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative).Inspection and Repair: Conduct regular inspections — 175‑hour, isochronal, and phase inspections — to identify cracks, leaks, corrosion, and other defects.System Modifications and Adjustments: Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring systems, accessories, and various aircraft components to keep aircraft mission‑ready.Leadership: Assign tasks, monitor progress, ensure compliance with safety procedures, and manage a team of mechanics.Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate maintenance records and verify that work was performed satisfactorily.Specialization: Specialize in areas such as engine/airframe repair and complete additional qualifications as necessary, including ordnance qualifications.Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance performed in OOMA or similar system, ensuring compliance with 4790 and safety standards.Qualifications and ExperienceMinimum five years of recent O‑level H‑60S/R/F/H aircraft maintenance or equivalent rotary aircraft experience, including five years of H60 CDQAR/QAR experience.MH60‑R experience preferred, with prior experience working on U.S. Navy aircraft maintenance.At least two years in a management or leadership role.Strong technical knowledge and ability to interpret technical manuals and publications, performing complex repairs and inspections on aircraft systems.Willingness to work all shifts, as required by flight schedule and tasking.Security clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier3 Background Investigation and possibly a Secret Clearance.Working ConditionsMust be capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing physical tasks as required.Computer usage for documentation using codes and clear written and verbal English language required.Constant visual, communicative, and mental alertness needed while reviewing documents, walking around work areas, and operating in all weather conditions.Climbing aircraft using a step and all types of ladders or stands; standing for long periods with minimal sitting.Ability to work under extreme weather conditions and in environments with head, hand, hearing, eye, slip, and trip hazards; must use proper PPE and safety procedures.Must be able to work all shifts; full‑time employment, although 40 hours per week is not guaranteed.Flexible start and end times depending on flight schedule and overall tasking.BenefitsM1 Support Services offers a comprehensive benefits package, including several options for medical, dental, vision, life and dependent life, AD&DD, short‑term and long‑term disability.
