    Description

    Duration: 3 months

    Description/Scope of Work

    Provide day-to-day operational leadership for the Ambulatory application portfolio, including Ambulatory, Healthy Planet, MyChart, Wisdom, and related applications. Support strategic planning, work prioritization, issue resolution, cross-functional coordination, and implementation oversight while partnering with internal leadership to ensure continuity of operations. In accordance with County policy, this role will not perform personnel or HR-related supervisory responsibilities.

    Examples of Duties
    1. Provide operational oversight and leadership for the Ambulatory application portfolio.
    2. Partner with the Ambulatory Supervisor and ACIO to prioritize operational and implementation work.
    3. Support governance, strategic planning, and decision-making for the Epic Phase II implementation.
    4. Facilitate coordination across application teams, operational stakeholders, and project leadership.
    5. Assist in workload prioritization, issue escalation, and resource planning.
    6. Mentor and provide technical and operational guidance to analysts and project leads.
    7. Support development of operational processes, application ownership, and team coordination.

    Requirements
    1. Extensive experience leading Epic Ambulatory application teams in a healthcare environment.
    2. Demonstrated experience balancing operational support with large-scale Epic implementation efforts.
    3. Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and effectively manage competing priorities.
    4. Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

    Qualifications
    1. Expertise in Epic Ambulatory and related applications, including Healthy Planet, MyChart, and Wisdom.
    2. Experience providing operational leadership for teams supporting Epic clinical applications.
    3. Demonstrated success leading implementation, optimization, and operational initiatives.
    4. Experience collaborating with executive leadership, operational leaders, and multidisciplinary teams.

    Education & Experience
    Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting Epic clinical applications, including progressive leadership responsibilities.
    Required Epic certification(s) in Ambulatory and other related applications are preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
    1. Strong knowledge of Epic Ambulatory workflows, application governance, and healthcare operations.
    2. Ability to establish priorities, facilitate decision-making, and lead complex initiatives.
    3. Excellent leadership, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    4. Ability to build strong working relationships across technical, clinical, and operational teams.
    5. Experience mentoring staff and fostering collaboration without direct personnel authority.

    Remote/Telework Details
    On-site 3-6 days per month as needed
    Travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with the Travel clause in the master agreement.
