Ambulatory Medical Assistant – Phlebotomy & EKG Focus
Role snapshot
- Location: Lexington, MA 02421
- Type: 20-week contract
- Pay: $29.00–$32.00 per hour (W2)
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (40 hrs/week)
What you’ll do
- Room patients and record vital signs: blood pressure, height, and weight.
- Perform EKGs and phlebotomy in an outpatient primary care setting.
- Run and document POC tests per protocol.
- Schedule diagnostic imaging and laboratory studies; manage follow-up logistics.
- Stock and sanitize exam rooms; track medical supply inventory.
- Use Epic for documentation, orders, and appointment coordination.
- Support patient care operations to maintain clinic flow and efficiency.
Must-haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years’ experience as a Medical Assistant.
- BLS (AHA) certification.
- Epic experience.
- POC testing experience.
- Experience scheduling diagnostic and lab tests.
- Proven ability with blood pressure measurement and core MA duties.
- Live within 20 miles of the facility.
Nice to have
- Medical Assistant Certification.
