    Ambulatory RN Supervisor - Pediatric Gastroenterology

    Riley Children's Health at IU Health | IU North Hospital - Carmel, IN

    Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

    Location: Fully Onsite

    Position Summary

    The Ambulatory RN Supervisor provides onsite clinical and operational leadership for a busy Pediatric Gastroenterology practice. This role oversees daily clinic operations, supports staff development and engagement, coordinates patient care activities and workflows, and partners closely with providers and interdisciplinary team members to ensure a high-quality patient and family experience. Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager, the RN Supervisor serves as a key resource for both staff and providers while fostering a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide daily supervision and support for clinical staff and clinic operations.
    • Coordinate workflow, staffing, and patient care activities to promote efficient clinic operations.
    • Support team member development through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
    • Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient care and outcomes.
    • Assist with staffing, resource management, problem-solving, and process improvement initiatives.
    • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and exceptional patient and family service.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
    • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
    • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
    • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
    • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
    • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
    • Two years experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies.
    • Requires ability to coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner.
    • Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
