About the Company
Our client is a food manufacturer operating a production facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
The Role
The Ammonia Refrigeration / Boiler Technician performs refrigeration and boiler maintenance and supports other maintenance personnel on the shift. This is a full-time hourly position on a rotating 12-hour night schedule.
What You Will Do
Hold, or be able to obtain, RETA certification.
Demonstrate strong safety leadership and follow safe work practices.
Work as part of a team to plan and carry out equipment repairs.
Conduct routine audits and equipment inspections.
Troubleshoot equipment and systems.
Maintain open, professional communication with operations.
Respond to unplanned and emergency work requests in a timely and effective way.
Follow food safety and good manufacturing practices.
What You Bring
High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience or training in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing; or 4 years of direct industrial or food manufacturing maintenance experience
Comprehensive knowledge in three or more of: RETA certification, ammonia refrigeration, engine and boiler systems, electricity and motor controls, controls and instrumentation, PLC software and hardware, pneumatics and hydraulics, mechanical systems, predictive/preventive maintenance, maintenance planning, site utilities, system analysis and troubleshooting, pipefitting and welding, machining, metal fabrication
Basic computer skills
Highly motivated and able to work independently
Willingness to work a rotating 2-2-3 twelve-hour night schedule
