Analyst, IT Security

Job Summary

The Senior IT Physical Security Analyst is responsible for setting up access and troubleshooting issues in the physical security monitoring system. In addition, field work is required to install and/or repair cameras, badge readers, intercoms, gates and panic buttons.  This position is responsible for working with Information and Corporate Security as well as business units across all IT foundations in order to provide timely service and delivery. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor the central Security system: 
• Complete access control requests 
• Work with access owners for approvals 
• In the field, installs and repairs cameras, badge readers, intercoms, gates, panic buttons and turnstiles.  
• Assists with level 2 troubleshooting and is the liaison between the customer and IT PhySec Advisor to relay issues and new requests. 
• Assists team members during an incident or problem management.
• Ensures security tools are updated and configured properly.
• Utilizes new technologies and processes to enhance security capabilities and implement improvements. 
• Develops automated processes to improve efficiency and detection using existing and open-source tools. 
• Assists in field assessments to identify Security gaps or concerns. 
• Participates in and coordinates security awareness events for employees. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies

• Possesses an understanding of security concepts and operations principles. 
• Demonstrates a technical understanding of information systems and the integration of security. 
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and events. 
• Experience deploying and supporting endpoint security technologies. 
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and proven team player. 

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma (or GED).
• Minimum eight (8) years of related experience.
• An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
