Turn Procurement Data Into Business Impact

ProAmpac is seeking an Analyst, Sourcing Services to support strategic sourcing, procurement performance, and supply chain efficiency across our manufacturing operations.

This role is perfect for someone who loves digging into data, spotting trends, asking smart questions, and turning analysis into actionable recommendations. You'll partner closely with sourcing, supply chain, operations, and other internal teams to help optimize procurement activity and drive measurable business results.

This is an individual contributor role with strong visibility and meaningful impact. The ideal candidate brings analytical curiosity, strong organizational skills, and the confidence to communicate insights clearly to business leaders.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will gather, analyze, and interpret internal, market, customer, supplier, and industry data to support sourcing strategies and procurement decisions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives by gathering internal usage data, market intelligence, supplier information, and industry trends.

  • Prepare reports summarizing procurement trends, including usage rates, forecasted needs, lead times, supplier performance, and inventory considerations.

  • Identify opportunities to optimize inventory levels and reduce risks related to excess or insufficient materials.

  • Present findings, insights, and recommendations to business leaders in a clear, practical, and actionable way.

  • Measure the results of implemented improvement strategies and track progress against expected outcomes.

  • Support supplier evaluation efforts, including proposal and quote analysis based on quality, cost, service, and other business criteria.

  • Recommend alternate vendors, materials, or purchasing options to reduce cost, improve efficiency, or support better outcomes.

  • Help gather business requirements and identify supplier pre‑qualifiers for potential sourcing opportunities.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to support the movement of raw materials or in‑process goods to meet production and customer expectations.

  • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive business, supplier, and financial information.

What You'll Bring

The successful candidate will be analytical, organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment where data drives real business decisions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

  • 2-4 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, analytics, manufacturing, operations, finance, or a similar business function.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities.

  • Solid mathematical reasoning and comfort working with data to support recommendations.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and present recommendations.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, establish priorities, and meet deadlines.

Why This Role Matters

In manufacturing, sourcing decisions directly influence cost, inventory, production flow, supplier performance, and customer expectations. This role connects the data behind procurement activity to the decisions that keep operations running smoothly.

If you're an analyst who wants your work to influence real outcomes-not just reports-this role offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact.

Work Environment

This role primarily operates in a professional office environment with limited exposure to manufacturing areas. When entering manufacturing areas, required personal protective equipment may include hearing protection, safety shoes, and vision protection.

Employees may occasionally be exposed to non‑toxic nuisance smells from chemicals, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, high noise levels, and hot or humid conditions in manufacturing areas.

Physical Requirements

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to type or handle materials, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. Occasional lifting or moving of up to 10 pounds may be required.

Equal Employment Opportunity

ProAmpac provides equal employment opportunity to all individuals regardless of race, color, creed, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other classification protected by state, federal, or local law.
