Job Summary:

HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is seeking a BC/BE General Anesthesiologist to join the cohesive and supportive team at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. This is an in-house, overnight position with 1 week on, 2 weeks off (17 weeks annually). Chippenham is a Level I Trauma Center and has been proudly serving Central VA for over 50 years and is committed to providing the highest quality patient care with compassion and leading edge expertise.
 
Opportunity Highlights/Qualified Candidates:
  • MD or DO licensure from an accredited institution and ABA board eligibility/certification required.
  • Must be able to obtain an unrestricted medical license and DEA from the state of Virginia prior to employment.
  • Care Team Model of 9 General Anesthesiologists, 4 CV Anesthesiologists and 29 CRNAs covering 20 sites of service.
  • Diverse mix of cases including Trauma, Vascular, Thoracic, OB, General, Orthopedics, Urology, GYN, GI and Pediatrics. No cardiac responsibilities as cardiac anesthesiologist is on call from home. CRNA in-house at all time, with a second CRNA on home call.
  • Annual surgical volume 18,000 cases. 500 labor epidurals on average.
