GENERAL INFORMATION:
This position is under the supervision of the Director of the Environmental Studies Center. The individual must be able to work in a variety of outside and inside settings, under varying weather conditions and temperatures. Weekend and holiday work may be required.
The duties include but are not limited to:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a high school graduate from a regionally accredited school or have GED equivalent and must currently be enrolled at an institution of higher education in any Science-related field.
Must have real animal care experience.
Must possess the ability to follow oral and written directions.
Must be able to carry out tasks with limited supervision after training.
Must have calm disposition around wildlife.
Must not have fear of live animals or dead animals.
Must be reliable and dependable about work schedule.
Salary Range: From/To $11.25/Hour

Applicants selected for classified positions must undergo (or have undergone) an ABI/FBI criminal history background check (fingerprinting administered through sites selected and approved by the MCPSS and State of Alabama Education Department) and be declared suitable and fit to teach under state law. Applicants selected must also pass a drug-screening test via forms provided by Human Resources during the selection process.
