ANTICIPATED SUPPORT STAFF POSITION: CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER 12- month position Start Date: on or before January 4, 2027

QUALIFICATIONS: 1) Master's degree from an accredited college or university 2) Extensive knowledge of Cybersecurity 3) Understanding of information systems and systems development life cycle. 4) Knowledge of server & network administration 5) Ability to lead technical projects and make educated technical decisions. 6) Communicate technology issues and solutions with technical and non-technical peers. 7) Exhibit leadership skills, work independently, and as a member of a team.

JOB GOAL: The Chief Technology Officer's (CTO) primary role is to identify how technology can be utilized to make the district successful. Proactively identifying opportunities and threats, understanding technical underpinnings, and providing guidance for technical implementations are key characteristics of the job role. The CTO provides organization-wide technical leadership, ensuring that major technology decisions align with organizational goals, and that organizational decisions are realistic from a technology perspective. Strong technical skills that inspire confidence in district technology systems and cybersecurity are of great importance. This role includes partial technical, operational duties to ensure the district infrastructure is well maintained. The CTO provides leadership in identifying hardware and software purchases, ensuring that they are consistent with the instructional technology plan. This person provides leadership for short and long- range planning for all technology initiatives: vision, goals, program objectives/ strategies/activities, infrastructure, staffing, training, evaluation, budgeting, and collaboration with others as relates to technology. Serves as a clearinghouse of information on trends, research, applications, and effective practices related to the use of technology at Eastern Regional School District.

SALARY & BENEFITS: Anticipated salary range of $115,000 - $125,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications. Medical, dental, Rx and vision benefits are offered. Employees will contribute an amount toward health benefit premiums in accordance with an established table. The amount of contribution will be determined by the type of coverage (i.e. - single, family), the amount of the total premium assessed for coverage and the amount of the employee's salary
