Your Competitive Edge
Starting hourly rate of $36.00 to $55.00 per hour depending on experience, paid bi-weekly. Overtime pay applies to all hours worked over 40 per week. A daily meal per diem and paid travel expenses are provided when traveling. This position is classified as FLSA Non-Exempt.

Where You Make Your Mark
The AOG Maintenance Technician is the front line of mobile maintenance support for aircraft grounded at offsite locations across the country. This field-based role delivers the rapid, high-quality technical response that keeps Jet Access clients flying safely and on schedule. The AOG Maintenance Technician operates independently in dynamic environments, representing Jet Access's standards of excellence at every location and for every client.
Emergency Response and Field Operations
- Respond rapidly to AOG calls and mobile maintenance requests during assigned shifts, often with minimal advance notice.
- Travel to locations nationwide to provide on-site maintenance support for grounded aircraft.
- Perform comprehensive troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to identify mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues.
- Execute necessary repairs and maintenance tasks in the field with precision, adhering to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Operate effectively in diverse weather conditions and operational environments while maintaining unwavering safety standards.
Client Relations and Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact and face of Jet Access during on-site maintenance events.
- Provide clear, professional communication to clients regarding repair progress, timelines, and any complications that arise.
- Coordinate closely with the AOG Supervisor for project status updates, tooling requirements, travel arrangements, and technical documentation.
- Maintain regular communication with internal departments including Maintenance Control, Parts, and Scheduling to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Represent Jet Access's commitment to excellence and professionalism while working at client facilities and remote locations.
Technical Documentation and Compliance
- Complete detailed work orders, repair logs, and compliance paperwork accurately and thoroughly in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
- Document all maintenance actions performed, parts used, and inspection findings to maintain full regulatory compliance.
- Maintain and manage assigned tools, equipment, and company vehicle to ensure readiness for immediate deployment.
- Adhere to all FAA regulations including Parts 43, 91, and 135, and apply those standards consistently in every field environment.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Control to ensure all documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time.
Parts Coordination and Logistics
- Coordinate parts procurement and logistics to minimize aircraft downtime and expedite return to service.
- Communicate with parts suppliers and vendors to source required components quickly and accurately under time-critical conditions.
- Track parts usage, order status, and deployment inventory to support accurate documentation and cost accountability.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Control and the AOG Supervisor to anticipate parts needs before deployment when possible.
- Identify and escalate supply chain delays or component availability issues that may affect return-to-service timelines.
Safety, Standards, and Field Readiness
- Operate safely and effectively in diverse weather conditions, confined spaces, and unfamiliar operational environments.
- Apply all applicable maintenance standards and inspection protocols with consistency regardless of field conditions or time pressure.
- Maintain personal readiness for rapid deployment, including a valid passport, clean driving record, and current required certifications.
- Identify and escalate safety concerns immediately, supporting a culture where no shortcut is acceptable and every aircraft is returned to service correctly.
- Complete special projects and initiatives as needed, embracing opportunities to contribute to Jet Access's continued growth and success.
Who Thrives in This Seat
The Skills You Carry In
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience in corporate or general aviation environments.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems under pressure.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, maintenance drawings, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins.
- Strong understanding of FAA regulations including Parts 43, 91, and 135, and maintenance documentation requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven client service abilities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate company vehicles.
- Current passport or ability to obtain one for potential international travel.
- Must pass required background checks and pre-employment screening.
