Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for an AOI operator position at a manufacturing company in Danbury CT. This is a temp-to-hire job.
The hours are 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday. The salary is $19.50 an hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review AOI inspection for accurate, consistent detection of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) paste, component placement and solder joint defects
- Load programs per documentation
- Visually inspect PC boards to confirm acceptable soldering
- Use magnification aids and inspect populated printed circuit boards and identify component misplacement and solder defects to IPC-A-610 standards
- Recognize problems in the operation process or with components and highlight/communicate those problems to machine operator for immediate correction
- Alert production operations of any ongoing defects in products
- Work within other areas of department when needed
- Perform intermediate level preventative maintenance on machinery
- Keep the equipment clean and in good working order
- Enter transactions into computer, completes logs and records as required
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Technical high school or associates degree in electronics and/or experience in production of and/or inspection of printed circuit boards preferred
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Able to read and understand process sheets, visual aids, assembly drawings, component identification and component polarity
- Able to recognize problems in the operation process or with components and to highlight/communicate those problems to machine operator for immediate correction
- Able to sit for most of the working day
- Able to handle physical aspects of the job
- Able to pass pre-employment screenings
