AP Accountant Responsibilities

• 
  

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices and ensure accurate coding and approval

  
  
• 
  

• Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation

  
  
• 
  

• The AP Accountant will prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments

  
  
• 
  

• Reconcile vendor accounts and research discrepancies or payment issues

  
  
• 
  

• The AP Accountant will communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding invoices, payments, and account questions

  
  
• 
  

• Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, and other general accounting activities

  
  
• 
  

• The AP Accountant will maintain accurate AP records and support multiple entities or projects as needed

  
  
• 
  

• Assist with reporting, special projects, and other accounting duties as assigned

  
  
• 
  

Qualifications of the AP Accountant Role

• 
  

• 2+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience

  
  
• 
  

• Previous construction or manufacturing experience strongly preferred

  
  
• 
  

• Experience with Sage 300 or a similar ERP system

  
  
• 
  

• Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs

  
  
• 
  

• High attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment

  
  
• 
  

• Strong organizational and communication skills
