Job Description
Accounting Assistants have assigned vendor accounts, and it is their responsibility for maintaining the A/P relationship with the vendor. Candidates need to be familiar with all of the AP processes and the software packages that support them.
Responsibilities
- EDI invoice troublebox maintenance, Credit memo review and research, Shortage and/or pricing claims creation, Vendor statement acquisition and final reconciliation, Response to vendor calls/e-mails, Proof of delivery acquisition and research, Maintain 48-hour turnaround on active invoice problems.
- This person will be responsible for managing vendor accounts and vendor relationships. We have an offshore team that handles all AP inquiries, but when they get stuck, have a difficult supplier, or a supplier demands escalation or to talk to a US business partner, we have those come to my team. So, this person just needs to be an AP specialist, understand basic AP workflows, reconciling supplier statements and working through complicated supplier inquiries
- The successful candidate will have some AP experience, excellent computer skills and attention to detail, and ability to continually prioritize changing responsibilities.
- BA/BS preferred, but not required

- Managing supplier accounts
- Complex statement reviews/ recon
- ERP usage. Enterprise Resource Planning — it's a type of software system that integrates core business processes (finance, accounting, procurement, HR, supply chain, etc.)
- Be able to manage ambiguity and adapt to changes. Self sufficient
- Ai tooling or learning
- Tableau, Datashaper, excel, macros
Nice to haves
- Advanced programming languages would be a plus. Know how to navigate datasets
