Accounts Payable Coordinator

Location: Elmsford, NY
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Hourly Rate: $28-30/hr

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Coordinator to support a busy Finance team during a critical period of growth and transition. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and ensuring invoices and vendor records are processed accurately and efficiently.

This is a temporary assignment anticipated to last approximately 3-4 months, with the potential to convert to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and timely.
• 
  
• Review invoices for proper documentation, approvals, and coding.
• 
  
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding approvals and missing information.
• 
  
• Maintain and update vendor records and supporting documentation.
• 
  
• Process employee expense reports and reimbursement requests.
• 
  
• Respond to vendor inquiries and assist with resolving payment discrepancies.
• 
  
• Support month-end activities and AP-related reporting as needed.
• 
  
• Assist with sales and use tax documentation, audits, and recordkeeping.
• 
  
• Maintain organized electronic files and financial records.
• 
  
• Provide general administrative and accounting support to the Finance team.

Qualifications

• 
  
• 2+ years of Accounts Payable, bookkeeping, or accounting support experience.
• 
  
• Experience processing invoices and maintaining vendor records.
• 
  
• Experience working within an ERP or accounting system.
• 
  
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• 
  
• Professional communication skills and customer service mindset.
• 
  
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
• 
  
• Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or corporate accounting environment.
• 
  
• Exposure to international invoices or multi-entity accounting environments.
• 
  
• Familiarity with expense reimbursement processing and vendor maintenance.
