Job Title: APeX Training Coordinator
Location(s): San Francisco, CA
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced APeX Training Coordinator with expertise in administering and supporting Learning Management Systems (LMS). The ideal candidate will have experience managing training content and curricula, troubleshooting LMS issues, developing reports, gathering business requirements, conducting system testing, and supporting end users. Experience with healthcare systems, Epic/APeX training, and large-scale learning environments is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and support Learning Management Systems, including SumTotal, HealthStream, Cornerstone, and other LMS platforms.
- Manage training records, content, curricula, and reporting to support organizational training requirements.
- Develop and maintain training schedules for new hires, system upgrades, projects, and go-live activities.
- Collaborate with clinical and business operations, Human Resources, and training teams to coordinate training activities.
- Gather and document business requirements, analyze processes, and recommend appropriate system or workflow improvements.
- Troubleshoot LMS issues and provide technical support and excellent customer service to end users.
- Develop reports and ensure the accuracy and proper documentation of training records.
- Perform system testing, test planning, integration testing, and end-user acceptance testing as required.
- Support related technologies and applications, including SharePoint, ServiceNow, Microsoft Office, HTML, Zoom, and classroom technology.
- Track issues, coordinate follow-ups, and communicate technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support training operations across multiple locations and affiliated healthcare organizations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex system and business process issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience administering and supporting Learning Management Systems.
- Knowledge of LMS functionality, reporting capabilities, training content management, and curriculum administration.
- Experience troubleshooting system issues and supporting end users.
- Experience gathering business requirements, analyzing processes, and documenting system requirements.
- Demonstrated testing and test-planning skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of IT-related systems, including LMS platforms, ServiceNow, SharePoint, and HTML.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, learn new systems, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with UC Learning Center, SumTotal, Cornerstone, HealthStream, or similar LMS platforms.
- Experience supporting healthcare organizations or large-scale training programs.
- Experience with Epic/APeX training or electronic health record systems.
- Familiarity with Zoom and classroom technology.
- Knowledge of software design and system implementation processes.
Work Arrangement:
- Hybrid work schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
- Onsite work at designated healthcare facilities, campuses, and affiliated locations.
- Full medical clearance is required for all onsite and hybrid candidates.
