Full-time contract position with a duration of 52 weeks (1 year)
Schedule: Monday through Thursday (8-hour shifts), plus Friday (half day)
Coverage needed 5 days per week
Outpatient practice setting within the Infectious Disease department
See 12-15 patients per day with an adult patient population
Support staff includes RNs, CMA, and Physician
EMR system: EPIC
Must have recent experience with and be comfortable treating HIV patients
Perform in-office physical assessments, review medical history, and interpret diagnostic tests and results to provide effective patient treatment
Conduct preventive health screenings based on patient age, history, and unique needs
Educate patients and their families about specialty care medical conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up care
Maintain accurate records of all patient care to ensure complete patient history is recorded across offices
Perform office-based specialty care medical procedures in accordance with departmental guidelines and clinical roles
Identify ways to improve outpatient specialty care by assessing, problem-solving, and evaluating clinical and system issues
Board certification required; Master's Degree in Nursing or Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies required
Valid NC RN and Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Midwife license required
Valid NC PA license required (if applicable); DEA required
BLS (CPR) certification required through American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Minimum of 3+ years of experience required
