    Job Summary

    Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) opportunity within a fast-paced urgent care setting providing high-quality acute care for patients of all ages. Providers manage a broad range of conditions, including upper respiratory infections, minor fractures, lacerations, and other non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.

    This role offers a mix of scheduled visits and walk-in patients. Clinics operate daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with flexible scheduling options including 12-, 10-, and 8-hour shifts. Providers may work at multiple local sites and may have opportunities to participate in telemedicine services.

    A structured orientation and training program is provided. Prior emergency medicine or urgent care experience is preferred but not required.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries

    • Perform physical examinations and develop appropriate treatment plans

    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory and imaging studies

    • Prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations

    • Perform minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care

    • Provide patient education and discharge instructions

    • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical record systems

    • Participate in quality improvement and team initiatives

    Qualifications

    Education:
    Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program

    Experience:
    None required; urgent care or emergency medicine experience preferred

    Licensure/Certification:

    • Current Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP) or Physician Assistant license

    • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (if applicable to NP)

    • DEA license

    • AHA BLS-HCP certification required

    • Advanced Life Support certification preferred

    • Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with state regulations

    Other Requirements:

    • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare providers

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Proficiency with electronic medical record systems
