Temp - to - Hire Appellate Legal Secretary

LHH Legal is partnering with Thompson Coe to identify an experienced Appellate Legal Secretary for an immediate opening in their Austin office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected law firm and support a fast-paced appellate practice handling matters before Texas and federal appellate courts.

Compensation & Benefits • $33.00 - $55.00 per hour DOE

• Eligible for LHH benefits after working 40 hours
• Opportunity to work with a highly regarded appellate team

Key Responsibilities • Prepare, revise, and format appellate briefs, pleadings, and complex legal documents

• Create and maintain Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities
• E-file documents with Texas and federal courts
• Manage attorney calendars and schedules
• Review court filing requirements and coordinate filings
• Troubleshoot document formatting and style issues
• Assist with document conversions, revisions, scanning, and printing

Qualifications • 3+ years of appellate legal secretary experience

• Knowledge of Texas and federal appellate courts required
• Advanced Microsoft Word skills, including styles, TOCs, and TOAs
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Experience with iManage is a plus
