Application Architect - Chicago, IL - Contract - $73-78 Per HR
Description
This is a hybrid contract position requiring expertise in designing and developing AI-augmented applications. The role involves leading the integration of applications on a transactional platform and improving software delivery processes using modern development practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in server-side application development, particularly with object-oriented programming and system architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Define target architectures and technical standards for AI-augmented applications.
- Design reusable frameworks for AI integration, focusing on security and observability.
- Lead the modernization and integration of applications within transactional suites.
- Conduct technical evaluations to inform architecture decisions and reduce delivery risk.
- Automate build, test, and release activities to enhance delivery speed and reduce risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 15 years of experience in server-side application development with a focus on architecture.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming and system design.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, web services, and relational-data modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with effective communication abilities.
