Dean's Professional Services is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Applications Analyst to support a leading healthcare organization in Houston, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Oracle Fusion Finance Report Developer with strong functional finance knowledge and hands-on technical reporting expertise. The ideal candidate will have experience developing financial statements, management reports, transactional reports, dashboards, and analytics using Oracle Fusion Cloud reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy Finance reports using Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI), Financial Reporting, Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC), BI Publisher (BIP), and OTBI.

   

• Partner with Finance stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate business needs into effective Oracle reporting solutions.

   

• Determine the appropriate reporting technology based on business requirements, data sources, reporting frequency, formatting needs, and level of detail.

   

• Develop FDI dashboards, analyses, KPIs, and visualizations using Finance subject areas and semantic models.

   

• Develop and maintain financial statements and management reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, departmental reporting, and variance analysis.

   

• Build BI Publisher reports and data models for detailed, formatted, scheduled, and high-volume reporting requirements.

   

• Develop OTBI analyses and dashboards for transactional and operational Finance reporting.

   

• Support financial reporting requirements within FCC, including consolidated financial statements, management reporting, and reporting hierarchies.

   

• Validate report outputs against Oracle Fusion ERP and other authoritative data sources to ensure completeness and accuracy.

   

• Troubleshoot reporting issues involving data, hierarchies, security, calculations, mappings, and report configurations.

   

• Support system integration, user acceptance, and regression testing, including developing test scenarios and reconciling reporting results.

   

• Document report designs, calculations, data sources, filters, prompts, and technical or functional design decisions.

   

• Collaborate with Finance functional teams to understand Oracle concepts, including General Ledger, Chart of Accounts, hierarchies, accounting periods, balances, journals, and subledger accounting.

   

• Assist with report rationalization and identify opportunities to leverage standard Oracle reports or existing reporting solutions before developing custom reports.

   

• Follow established development, migration, testing, and change-control standards through deployment.

   

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

   

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience required.

   

• Hands-on experience developing Finance reports within Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.

   

• Strong experience with Oracle ERP financial reporting tools, including:
  • Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI)

     

  • Oracle Financial Reporting / Financial Reporting Center

     

  • Oracle EPM Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC)

     

  • Oracle BI Publisher (BIP)

     

  • Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI)

     

   

• Strong understanding of Oracle Fusion Financials data structures and reporting concepts.

   

• Experience developing financial statements, management reports, transactional reports, dashboards, and analytics.

   

• Ability to independently take a reporting requirement from design through development, testing, reconciliation, and deployment.

   

• Strong SQL and data-analysis skills, particularly for troubleshooting and validating report results.

   

• Ability to work directly with Finance business users and explain technical reporting concepts in clear business terms.

   

• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to reconcile reports back to source financial data.

   

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
