Standard Job Description

The Application Engineering Manager role is responsible for 1LMX MES Acceleration in the development of application solutions for capability enablement within the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) ecosystems. This development is the cornerstone for successfully enabling LM Aero Operation's business transformation for all Lines of Businesses and programs. Thise role wil also manage the successful deployment of CAMS to Johnstown/Pinellas and the continued execution of asset migration to the IFF. In addition this role manages the continual sustainment of all of the system tools at the shop floor across AERO, used for execution.

What You Will Be Doing

• Leading a technical team of Application Engineers who are developing MES solutions for 1LMX Aero business transformation, and IFF migration.
• Collaborating with cross-functional leadership for alignment on scope and strategy execution for operations capability development.
• Leading a team that has team members based across Aero's main sites.
• Personnel management tasks including staffing, training, work assignments, and performance reviews.
• Providing leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, recruit, and mentor team members.

Basic Qualifications

• Project management experience.
• Experience with technical requirements generation and specification development.
• Experience with MES implementation, integration, and sustainment in high‑mix, high‑volume manufacturing

environments.

• Experience leading large‑scale sustainment programs, change‑control processes, and continuous‑improvement

initiatives.

Desired Skills

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline
• Aerospace and Defense experience
• Experience in manufacturing systems, requirements, and methods
• Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (TeamCenter or 3DX) experience
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (CAMS, iBASEt, Apriso) experience
• Knowledge/experience of 1LMX program initiatives/efforts
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a semi-virtual team.
• Working knowledge of Agile processes
• Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership competencies

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $145100.00 - $269500.00

• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
