Job Qualifications
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5 years in data integration, SIS support, or software development. Prior experience in education systems preferred.
TYPE OF SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION
Experience with APIs, flat-file transfers, and integration platforms
Working knowledge of PowerSchool or other SIS data structures
Familiarity with LMS and rostering standards such as OneRoster or Ed-Fi Strong scripting or coding skills (e.g., Python, SQL, PowerShell) Detail-oriented with strong documentation and troubleshooting capabilities Experience with student data privacy and compliance standards
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Works independently and may coordinate with junior team members or vendors. Collaborates closely with analysts and architects.
WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT
Solves moderate to complex data integration issues. Applies judgment to ensure data accuracy, usability, and compliance.
BUDGET AUTHORITY
None. May provide input on tools and platforms used to support integrations.
PROBLEM SOLVING
Diagnoses integration errors, data mismatches, or failed deliveries and implements secure, scalable fixes.
IMPACT OF DECISIONS
Impacts the accessibility and accuracy of instructional tools used by thousands of teachers and students.
COMMUNICATION/INTERACTIONS
Coordinates with application owners, academics, SIS administrators, and vendors. Participates in cross-functional planning.
CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS
Supports teachers, students, and instructional leaders by ensuring seamless digital learning experiences through accurate system integrations.
WORKING/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Office work environment. May require extended hours during integration launches, SIS transitions, or academic year rollovers.
