We are seeking a talented and experienced Architect / Project Architect with 5+ years of professional experience to join a collaborative architecture team. This role is ideal for an architect who can work independently across all phases of the design process while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong design and technical skills, experience developing architectural documentation, and the ability to manage project requirements including budgets, schedules, and deadlines. This position also offers opportunities to lead smaller teams, build professional relationships, and continue developing architectural expertise.
Responsibilities
- Develop architectural concepts based on project criteria and incorporate feedback to refine designs
- Contribute to projects throughout the design process, including presentations, schematic design, design development, contract documents, modeling, rendering, and construction administration
- Collaborate with architects, designers, consultants, and other project team members to determine effective design and project approaches
- Prepare and coordinate architectural drawings, presentations, models, renderings, and construction documentation
- Ensure project deliverables meet established budgets, schedules, timelines, and project requirements
- Utilize architectural design, drafting, modeling, rendering, and graphic design software effectively
- Lead small teams and coordinate tasks and deliverables as assigned
- Assist with project coordination and problem-solving throughout all phases of a project
- Participate in professional development activities and initiatives
- Build and maintain professional relationships and industry connections
- Stay current with emerging technologies, design tools, and industry practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited institution
- 5+ years of professional architecture experience
- Required: Licensed Architect OR actively pursuing licensure and on track for future licensure
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit
- Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign
- Experience with Enscape and other 3D modeling and rendering software
- Experience with Rhino, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, or comparable programs
- Knowledge of architectural materials, project design, and preparation of construction documentation
- Experience working across multiple phases of architectural projects is preferred
- Understanding of architectural design, documentation, and project delivery processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a professional environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to learn new technologies, processes, and software
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Experience with automation, AI, or other emerging technologies in architectural workflows is a plus
