    We are looking for a detail-oriented architectural draftsman to join our team. You will be creating technical drawings for luxury custom homes from sketches, incorporating exact measurements and codes, and entering data to generate 3-D design models.
    The ideal candidate will possess a solid knowledge of and previous experience using Revit software, and the ability to apply the fundamentals of sketching and design and whose drafting expertise contributes to structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing architectural designs.
    Remote work is not an option. 
    Architectural Draftsman Responsibilities:
    • Analyze building specifications, codes, and sites.
    • Create technical drawings from sketches and specifications.
    • Use software to create drawings that incorporate exact measurements, calculations, building codes, and other construction details.
    • Print drawing schematics for use by architects, construction managers, and structural and maintenance engineers.
    • Enter data into building information modeling (BIM) systems to create 3-D models and renderings.
    • Prepare drawings, charts, and records with CAD equipment and conventional drafting techniques.
    • Visit construction sites to perform measurements and calculate dimensions as needed.
    • Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure adherence to building specifications and industry regulations.
    • Keep abreast of the latest developments and technologies in architectural design.
    • Draft, edit, and finalize design plans and details using appropriate and efficient methods and adhere to drafting standards
    • Understand and visualize overall engineering concepts and translate abstract concepts to design drawings
    • Analyze sketches, notes, and other input material to determine the best approach to complete a drawing set
    • Manage production of drawing sets from creation, markup, and modification based on the overall design
    • Work collaboratively with others to prepare design drawings and details and review completed work products to ensure quality.
    Architectural Draftsman Requirements:
    • An Associate’s or Bachelor's degree or certification program in architecture, architectural drafting, or similar.
    • American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) certification is preferred.
    • Prior experience as an architectural draftsman in the custom home arena.
    • Advanced proficiency using Revit is required.
    • In-depth knowledge of building design, specifications, codes, and structural analysis.
    • Ability to apply the fundamentals of sketching and design.
    • Mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
    • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
    • Great analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
