Architectural Staff Level II
Design here is measured by how people live, not simply by how drawings look. You will help shape senior living, healthcare, student housing, and multifamily communities that improve daily life through better wayfinding, safer care, and stronger social connection. This role provides the opportunity to take ownership across the full life of a project rather than working within a narrow production function.
Performance Objectives
Carry assigned projects from schematic design through construction administration, delivering coordinated documents on schedule and within established project parameters.
Identify and resolve program, code, coordination, and constructability issues early to minimize field changes and maintain clear client decisions.
Integrate architecture with interiors, landscape, planning, and building systems to support both operations and the overall resident experience.
Participate in and lead client and consultant working sessions while presenting design options and recommended solutions.
Establish and maintain BIM standards for assigned projects while producing coordinated models and construction details.
Support and mentor junior staff to maintain consistent documentation and design quality.
Monitor scope, schedule, consultant coordination, and project milestones while identifying potential risks early.
Environment & Resources
You will work in person in Austin alongside architects, interior designers, planners, and other design professionals within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. Projects include both new developments and repositioning of existing communities.
BIM serves as the primary production platform, with access to firm leadership for design feedback, project direction, scope decisions, and professional development. Some project related travel may be required.
This is a full time salaried position offering PTO, medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company contribution, and support for professional memberships and continuing education.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelors degree in architecture and legal authorization to work in the United States.
Approximately 5 to 8 years of experience within an architecture firm.
Experience with senior living, multifamily, student housing, healthcare, or similar project types.
Demonstrated experience managing or owning significant portions of a project from design through construction documents or construction administration.
Working knowledge of building codes, life safety requirements, and practical building operations.
Proficiency with BIM software such as Revit or ArchiCAD, including modeling, detailing, and consultant coordination.
Strong written and verbal communication skills when working with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
Role Selling Points
Opportunity to work on recognized projects focused on improving how people live and interact with their environments.
Exposure to projects from early design through construction rather than being limited to one phase of project delivery.
Close collaboration between architecture, interiors, landscape, planning, and other disciplines.
A firm focused on long term employee development through training, professional memberships, continuing education, and mentorship.
A collaborative culture that values both professional development and community involvement.
