This is a hands-on regional leadership role overseeing three market-rate apartment communities across the Triad and Charlotte markets, a few hours apart by car. You'll have real ownership over how these properties run — building out on-site teams, tightening up operations, and putting your own stamp on the portfolio's performance. There's also a clear path for growth here: the company plans to bring two more properties in-house over the next 6-12 months, and this role will grow to take them on.
If you like building strong teams and have a sharp eye for where operations can run better, this is a great fit.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Take direct operational ownership of three Class B/C market-rate communities, splitting your time across all of them
Recruit, hire, and train on-site teams — including bringing on a new Property Manager and coaching them through their first few months
Step in and run day-to-day operations hands-on at any site that needs it
Spot and act on opportunities to improve performance, tighten budgets, and strengthen team operations across the portfolio
Review monthly financials, budgets, and variance reports across all three properties
Own rent growth and pricing strategy input for the portfolio
Handle resident relations escalations and stay ahead of turnover, leasing, and make-ready timelines
Travel regularly between the Triad and Charlotte markets to stay hands-on at each site
Take on additional properties as the company grows its in-house portfolio over the next 6-12 months
WHY YOU MATTER
