Position Overview:

We are hiring an experienced Area Operations Manager to oversee daily field operations for a team of Radiologic Technologists and Sonographers across the Bay Area. This leadership role focuses on scheduling, compliance, quality assurance, staff management, and operational support. Candidates should have a strong background in mobile imaging services, team supervision, and regulatory compliance, along with the flexibility to travel throughout the region.

Key Duties:

  • Develop, manage, and adjust staffing schedules to meet service needs across multiple locations.
  • Supervise performance metrics, address personnel issues, and manage P&L within assigned territory.
  • Ensure all operations adhere to applicable state laws and radiology regulations.
  • Provide direct clinical support when necessary, including performing imaging studies.
  • Conduct regular employee performance reviews and collaborate with leadership on staff development.
  • Serve as the communication bridge between technologists and management, ensuring alignment on goals and updates.
  • Manage supply ordering, equipment needs, and repair coordination within the region.
  • Oversee onboarding and orientation for new hires, including company policy and protocol training.
  • Troubleshoot and assist technologists with operational or technical challenges.
  • Implement corrective actions and performance improvement plans as needed through coaching and feedback.
  • Review payroll and productivity reports to optimize labor costs and resource use.
  • Drive operational initiatives aligned with organizational strategies and service expectations.
  • Perform mobile X-rays and ultrasounds when needed to support field operations.
  • Coordinate fleet maintenance schedules for vehicles and mobile equipment.
  • Track and manage technologist dosimetry reporting and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure clinical credentialing, ongoing training, and quality standards are met for all imaging staff.
  • Perform additional operational tasks and projects as assigned by the Director of Operations.

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 50% regional travel within the Bay Area.

Qualifications:

  • Current ARRT or ARDMS certification (or equivalent credential).
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in mobile imaging or healthcare operations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Must have reliable transportation and willingness to travel frequently within the designated service area.
