Art Adjunct - CGCC ART111 Drawing

Provides in-person instruction for ART 111 Drawing I. The successful candidate will be asked to teach a hands-on lecture/lab course at the Chandler-Gilbert Community College Pecos campus. Must be committed to teaching students, meaningfully assessing their learning and adjusting instruction such that the same learning outcomes are achieved by all. The primary focus of this position will be to promote student learning of critical Drawing concepts and practices. This course establishes the foundational knowledge base needed for success in more advanced ART courses. Instruction provided will align with CGCC's college goals and learner-centered instructional philosophy for the student population. Uses multiple methods and modalities of instruction and assessment. Utilizes appropriate technologies to engage students and promote student success. Demonstrates a commitment to rigorous curriculum, innovative strategies for teaching and learning, collaboration, service excellence, and professional development.

Essential Functions

Teaching drawing; grading and submitting grades; setting up the classroom, lectures.; drawing demonstrations; canvas LMS management for the course; classroom management.
