Job Title: Art Director
Location: Chicago, IL (preferred) - hybrid

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Art Director to lead visual design, creative execution, and visual storyboarding across digital, video, and multi-channel campaigns. This role requires a strong conceptor and designer who excels at crafting polished visual assets, establishing design systems, and driving end-to-end creative production. You will work directly in the tools to turn ideas into crisp, high-impact visuals across static, motion, and interactive media.

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on Visual Design & Execution: Create compelling layouts, digital assets, brand systems, and campaign collateral from initial wireframe to final pixel-perfect production.

• Concepting & Storyboarding: Develop original visual concepts, mood boards, and storyboards for digital campaigns, social channels, and media initiatives.

• Asset Production & Manipulation: High-level image retouching, vector illustration, and asset prep across static and dynamic media.

• Digital & Motion Prototyping: Build, iterate, and hand off UI/digital design layouts using modern design systems and prototyping platforms.

• Creative Collaboration & Design Reviews: Articulate design decisions clearly, present visual directions to team members, and partner directly with copywriters, production teams, and editors to elevate the visual standard.

Qualifications & Requirements

Must-Haves:

• Deep hands-on expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and the broader Adobe Creative Suite.

• 1–2+ years of experience in Figma (or similar digital design tools) for layout, component building, and digital asset creation.

• Strong core design foundation: typography, grid systems, color theory, composition, and visual hierarchy.

• Clear visual communication skills and a strong portfolio demonstrating creative concepting and execution.

Nice-to-Haves / Pluses:

• Experience in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro.

• Animation, short-form motion design, and micro-interaction capabilities.

• Practical experience in photo/video shoot preparation, on-set direction, or video editing.

• Working knowledge of prompt engineering and generative visual AI tools.
