The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a premier warehousing and logistics organization, and we are looking to hire an experienced and skilled Art Handler/Driver to serve as a key member of the team and ensure safe handling, transportation, and installation of high-value artworks, antiques, furniture, and personal effects at their Plantation, FL location.

In this role, you will be responsible for executing local and interstate collections, deliveries, relocations, and installations with professionalism, precision, and exceptional care. 

The Art Handler will collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and dispatch teams to ensure efficient operations, timely service, and the successful execution of projects while upholding the highest standards of safety, security, handling, and customer service when working with high-value and fragile items.

What You’ll Do

 Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled collections and deliveries, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional service
  • Safely operate company vehicles while maintaining cleanliness and readiness for daily use
  • Complete all required documentation on-site and in the field, including condition reports, trip manifests, and related paperwork
  • Professionally pack, handle, transport, and install artwork, antiques, and fine furnishings while ensuring their safety and security
  • Assist with complex installations and site-specific projects as assigned
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior art handlers when required
  • Load and unload company and third-party vehicles with the utmost care and attention to detail
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship and focus on quality execution for every assignment
  • When reporting directly to or from a client site, submit a manually completed timesheet signed by a supervisor or manager within 24 hours
  • Notify the Dispatch Manager of any proposed trip changes or manifest modifications prior to execution

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Experience in art handling or logistics, particularly involving fragile, high-value items
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in moving and art handling, including local and interstate transportation
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics and warehouse operations

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow specific handling and installation instructions
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt effectively in fast-paced and changing work environments
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Professional communication, customer service, and collaborative teamwork abilities
  • Ability to safely lift and maneuver up to 70 pounds and push or pull up to 150 pounds using appropriate equipment
  • Capable of standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, twisting, bending, and reaching throughout the workday
  • Proficient in the safe use of logistics and material-handling equipment, including dollies, J-bars, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Ability to accurately complete required documentation, including condition reports and other operational paperwork
  • Performs assigned duties under direct supervision with limited autonomy
  • Any changes to assigned work, schedules, routes, or manifests must receive prior approval from the Dispatch Manager
  • Decision-making responsibilities and operational autonomy may increase based on demonstrated performance, experience, and tenure
