The Staff Pad is partnering with a respected organization to hire an experienced Art Handler II (Driver). This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in hands-on work, has a strong attention to detail, and understands the importance of safely handling high-value artwork and artifacts.

You’ll play a key role in transporting, installing, and preserving artwork—helping ensure every piece is handled with precision and care.



What You’ll Do

  • Safely pack, transport, and unpack artwork and artifacts
  • Complete local and regional deliveries (including driving responsibilities)
  • Assist with installation and deinstallation of exhibitions
  • Prepare and maintain accurate condition reports and inventory records
  • Collaborate with curators and team members to ensure proper display and handling
  • Conduct routine checks of storage and display areas to maintain optimal conditions
  • Follow best practices for art handling, storage, and transportation


What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in:
    • Art handling, museum, or gallery environments
    • OR relevant experience in moving/handling high-value or fragile items
  • Experience with safe packing, handling, and transportation techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Art History, or a related field
  • Knowledge of art conservation techniques and materials
  • Experience working with a variety of art forms and mediums
