The Department:
Silicon Valley Power (SVP) is the municipally owned electric utility for the City of Santa Clara, delivering highly reliable, cost-effective power to a diverse customer base that includes many of the worlds leading technology and data-driven companies. Operating in one of the most demanding energy environments in the country, SVP supports business operations, advanced grid operations, real-time data systems, and critical infrastructure that underpin Silicon Valleys innovation economy. The utility is actively modernizing its technology, operational, and data platforms to enhance security, reliability, scalability, and integration across IT and OT systems.
The Position(s):
Infrastructure and Network Project Manager
The position will report to the Systems Support Division within SVP. The Temporary Employee (Infrastructure and Network Project Manager) will provide expert project management support for infrastructure and network projects that support SVPs modernization of systems and processes.
Cybersecurity Specialist
The position will report to the Systems Support Division within SVP. The Temporary Employee (Cybersecurity Specialist) will serve as a hands-on cybersecurity practitioner, helping lead efforts to modernize SVPs defense-in-depth cybersecurity strategy, including tools, processes, and procedures.
Cybersecurity Project Manager
The position will report to the Systems Support Division within SVP. The Temporary Employee (Cybersecurity Project Manager) will provide expert project management support for cybersecurity initiatives, helping lead efforts to secure and modernize SVPs systems and processes.
Infrastructure Windows Specialist
The position will report to the Systems Support Division within SVP. The Temporary Employee (Infrastructure Windows Specialist) will serve as a hands-on infrastructure and Windows Server practitioner, leading efforts to modernize SVPs compute platforms, Windows Server environments, and supporting infrastructure services.
As an as-needed employee, this is an "at-will" position and there is no guarantee of hours. Hours are limited to 999 in a fiscal year or 960 hours in a fiscal year for retired CalPERS annuitants.

The annual salary range for this position is $94-$121. This position may be filled at or near the minimum of the salary range.
