Description - Your Contributions
  • Conduct both routine and advanced clinical laboratory tests-including chemistry, hematology, immunology, among others-following established protocols.
  • Interpret results with precision, troubleshoot inconsistencies, and execute preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory instruments.
  • Support specimen collection processes and prepare samples for testing as needed, ensuring seamless workflow in the lab.
  • Document all laboratory procedures thoroughly, mentor new staff or students, and help maintain the highest quality standards in the lab.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all regulatory and accreditation standards.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent allied health degree, with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.
Certifications
  • ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) is required to be obtained within one year of employment.
  • Must maintain certification for the duration of employment.
Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Proficient in exercising independent judgment and problem-solving within fast-paced, often stressful lab conditions.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, particularly for quality control and documentation.
