Shift : 2nd Shift | 4p - 2:45a | OT Available on Weekends!
Compensation:$18/hr, plus $2/hr Shift Differential

Overview:

Sterling Engineering is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Electrical/Mechanical Assemblers to join our growing manufacturing team in West Columbia, SC! This is a great opportunity for individuals with hands-on assembly experience, mechanical aptitude, or an electrical background. 

Job Duties: 

• Perform electrical and mechanical assembly of components, equipment, and subassemblies.

• Read and follow work orders, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.

• Use hand tools, power tools, and other assembly equipment to complete production tasks.

• Install, route, and connect electrical wiring, cables, and components.

• Perform crimping, fastening, fitting, and other assembly operations.

• Assemble enclosures, panels, racks, and related equipment.

• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.

• Identify and report assembly issues, defects, or inconsistencies.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications: 

• Previous electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing assembly experience preferred.

• Experience using hand tools and power tools.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.

• Basic understanding of electrical components and mechanical assembly processes.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Reliable attendance and willingness to work weekend overtime as needed.
