    Location/Division Specific Information:

    Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) has innovative analytics, from Lab to Line to Field. The business serves a wide breath of industrial sectors including pharmaceutical, food and beverage, environmental, process minerals, mining, coal, cement and metals, as well as academic, government, safety, and security. This position will be based out of our Oakwood Village Plant in Ohio.

    How Will You Make an Impact?:

    The Assembly Technician II will work on a variety of radiation detector assemblies for both government and commercial customers.

    A Day in the Life:

    • Set up appropriate equipment, tools, jigs using established procedures, and knowledge of the assigned technology, systems, and components, and resolve any issues outside desired results
    • Daily production work assembling a variety of small radiation detectors
    • Understanding and maintaining critical work cell Operations metrics
    • Basic inventory management, such as pulling parts lists and providing inventory reports
    • Managing inventory and documentation for assembly needs

    Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent required

    Experience:

    • Required: 1 year experience in a manufacturing setting
    • Preferred: 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

    • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, and other manufacturing documentation
    • Demonstrate proper use of simple hand/machine tools, electronic/manual test equipment and mechanical measuring devices
    • Proficient in the use of a personal computer to retrieve technical drawings, documents, and instruction

    Physical Requirements / Work Environment

    • High degree of fine finger and hand dexterity is required
    • Stationary position
    • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to work in warehouse environment under various temperatures
