Assembler / Tester Sr.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Accurately and efficiently setup and conduct electrodynamic vibration and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) tests on a variety of complex products to achieve customer quality and on‐time delivery schedules. Works to monitor lab performance and ensures that all test equipment operates at peak efficiency. This role also involves coordinating calibration/maintenance activities and providing training to team members on testing procedures and safe equipment operation. Actively contributes to lean initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs. Works independently with minimum supervisory guidance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Set up and configure electrodynamic vibration equipment and agree thermal chambers for various testing profiles, ensuring adherence to specified test parameters.
Conduct vibration testing and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) to evaluate product reliability and performance under simulated conditions using various types of analog and digital test equipment such as multi meters, oscilloscopes and specialized test equipment (STE)
Monitor and document chamber performance (ramp rates, temperature, etc.)
Coordinate and schedule regular maintenance/calibration of lab equipment and chambers to ensure peak performance and compliance with safety and quality standards
Document testing procedures, results, and any deviations per company policies
Provide training and support to team members on safety, testing protocols, equipment operation, and best practices.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (lean) to improve testing processes and lab efficiency
Observes all safety rules and maintains a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area
May perform other related responsibilities.
Job Requirements:
Five or more years industry related experience in an manufacturing environment
Understanding of thermal and vibration testing methodologies and equipment, training available for candidates with high learning agility
As required, must be able to set up test fixtures independently. Able to adapt to procedures, techniques, processes and priorities to meet special needs on varied assignments
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications. Demonstrate effective verbal, written, and basic computer skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Familiarity with laboratory safety practices and protocols
Able to apply lean initiatives
Serve as a resource to other team members and assist in training efforts. Possess effective interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment on research and solution development.
Able to interpret reports and use standard business software applications. Able to use employee self‐service system to access on‐line information and use specialized automated systems (i.e. PMR, TORS, e‐mail).
Ability to effectively demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal setting, performance feedback, and self‐development activities.
