Schedule: Full-time, Tuesday-Friday, 3:45 PM-2:15 AM
Penmac Staffing is seeking dependable individuals for an Assembly Technician position with a manufacturing client. In this role, you will assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, and systems while following detailed work instructions and quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, attention to detail, and working in a production environment.Requirements
- Ability to read work orders, production drawings, and assembly instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow safety policies and procedures
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and reach throughout the shift
- Ability to reach overhead as needed
- Ability to frequently lift up to 10 pounds
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic components, products, and subassemblies according to specifications
- Position and align parts using hand jigs, fixtures, and other holding devices
- Secure components through crimping, staking, screwing, bolting, riveting, soldering, cementing, press fitting, and similar assembly methods
- Install finished assemblies into cases and cabinets
- Attach hardware such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches
- Perform assembly processes including potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding
- Adjust and trim materials to meet electrical and dimensional specifications
- Conduct visual inspections and go/no-go testing to ensure quality standards are met
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures
- Report workplace hazards and support a safe work environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
