Assembly Fitter 1 Day Shift

General Summary

In this entry level role, the pipefitter will assemble and repair pipe systems of various shapes, sizes and pressures. Ensure proper placement and alignment according to drawings and instructions.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities
  • Has some degree of general knowledge of all aspects of the Process Install Department.
  • Reads and understands isometric drawings.
  • Bridge tack with GMAW.
  • Hang Pipe on the skid
  • Cut, Grind, Fit-up pipe
  • Torque Bottles down
  • Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
  • EE must align with EFX visions and values.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED or 1 year technical diploma/vocational certificate desired.
  • Must have general knowledge of pipe ISO’s.
  • General knowledge on P&ID and General Arrangement Drawings.0
  • Demonstrates knowledge on the pipe fitting processes for industrial piping.
  • Fits simple fit-up without supervision.
  • Requires oversight on more complex fit-ups.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Primary functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
  • Works under immediate supervision.

Working Conditions:

Industrial environment. This role will require a large amount of standing, bending, squatting, lifting and walking on a constant basis. May be required to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity.
