Transform the everyday with us!

As an Assembly Supervisor - Floor Assembly within Electrical Products (EP), you will lead hourly employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting switchboard production for industrial and data-center applications. You will set the tone for professional communication, hands-on leadership, resilience, and continuous improvement while helping the team manage changing priorities, staffing and material shortages, and daily production challenges. This role is ideal for a supervisor or foreman who remains engaged throughout the workday, handles difficult employee situations calmly, and motivates employees through demanding periods.

First-shift opportunities run from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and second-shift opportunities run from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 midnight. The role is on-site at the Siemens Electrical Products manufacturing facility in Grand Prairie, Texas, with supervisory coverage required when teams work additional hours or weekends.

You will make an impact by:

  • Leading hourly assembly employees through daily production priorities while maintaining professional communication, positive engagement, and a safe, respectful work environment.
  • Managing staffing shortages, material constraints, changing priorities, and competing operational issues to support production schedules, throughput, quality, and customer commitments.
  • Maintaining active floor engagement throughout the shift by observing work, removing barriers, responding to employee concerns, and ensuring leadership coverage whenever the team is working.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing employees through clear expectations, timely feedback, performance discussions, and coordination of required training.
  • Addressing employee performance, conduct, and workplace concerns calmly and professionally while maintaining composure during difficult or high-pressure situations.
  • Partnering with Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse, Quality, and other production teams to improve material availability, resolve line constraints, and support process improvements.
  • Applying Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices to increase throughput, reduce waste, strengthen execution, and improve the team's ability to meet production goals.

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Have at least 2 years of experience in assembly manufacturing, industrial production, production supervision, foreman leadership, or a related field; candidates with shorter work histories may be considered when they demonstrate strong leadership potential and relevant accomplishments.
  • Have experience leading, supervising, or coordinating hourly employees in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage staffing challenges, material shortages, changing production priorities, and multiple daily operational issues.
  • Demonstrate professional communication skills and the ability to address employee performance or conduct concerns calmly and respectfully.
  • Demonstrate a strong hands-on work ethic, willingness to learn, resilience under sustained pressure, and the ability to remain actively engaged throughout the workday.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to provide supervisory coverage when employees work additional hours, extended hours, or weekends.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have successfully supervised or served as a foreman in an assembly, manufacturing, switchboard, power panel, switchgear, industrial production, or data-center production environment.
  • Demonstrate experience supporting process improvements, increased throughput, Lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Have experience managing production teams through staffing shortages, material constraints, competing priorities, or rapidly changing customer requirements.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of switchboards, power panels, switchgear, electrical assemblies, or related industrial products.
  • Have experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment and applying collective bargaining agreements.
  • Demonstrate a record of accomplishments that reflects leadership potential, employee development, operational improvement, or production performance.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, business, operations, or a related discipline, or have an equivalent combination of education and directly related work experience.
