Assembly Supervisor

We are seeking an effective and motivated Assembly Supervisor to delegate work, oversee progress towards goals, and coach team members as needed.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Lead and motivate the team. Manage the team's production Manage performance and solve problems. Care for the health, safety and welfare of the team. Foster open communication. Create a positive work environment. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Experience supervising and/or leading teams in a manufacturing environment Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills including working knowledge of the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) Ability to learn how to effectively use databases systems such as ERP's. Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others in a team environment. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, as well as a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Supervision Received: Works with minimal supervision. Issues and concerns need to be communicated to supervisor.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Previous supervisory and/or experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment Basic computer skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Lifting: Occasionally raises objects from a lower to a higher position or moves objects horizontally from position-to position. Weight is usually less than 20 lbs. Push/Pull: Occasionally uses upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Weight is usually less than 20 lbs. Reaching: Extends hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Weight is usually less than 20 lbs. Stooping: Bends body downward and forward at the waist. Weight is usually less than 20 lbs. Standing: Standing for moderate levels of time. Infrequently more than 30 minutes at a time. Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks. Infrequently more than 30 minutes at a time. Manual dexterity is needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
