Position Summary:


The Assembler performs a combination of assembly, welding, molding, and testing operations on electromechanical medical devices, including implantable pulse generators and external peripherals, in compliance with FDA and quality system requirements.


Essential Functions:


+ Perform electronic, mechanical, and molded assembly operations using microscopes, precision hand tools, and fixtures

+ Assemble, solder, weld, bond, coat, and test medical devices and related components according to documented procedures

+ Operate automated and manual test equipment to verify product functionality

+ Conduct visual and functional inspections to identify defects, nonconformances, or cosmetic issues

+ Perform rework and minor repairs in accordance with approved processes and work instructions

+ Examine molded assemblies for bubbles, voids, nicks, or excess epoxy and perform patching or repairs as required

+ Use small drills, reamers, taps, knives, syringes, and curing equipment to complete molding repairs

+ Accurately document work performed in applicable manufacturing records or systems

+ Notify supervision of material shortages, equipment issues, or production problems that cannot be readily corrected

+ Maintain compliance with applicable FDA regulations, Quality Management System (QMS) procedures, and company policies

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

+ Work cooperatively with team members and support production goals


Qualifications:


+ High School Diploma or GED required

+ Strong attention to detail with demonstrated manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination required

+ Basic reading, writing, and math skills required

+ Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions and procedures required

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment required

+ Ability to rotate through multiple tasks and stations as business needs required

+ Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance required

+ Medical device manufacturing experience preferred

+ Experience with precision soldering preferred

+ Ability to use standard hand tools used in the assembly of medical devices.

+ Demonstrated manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.

+ Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

+ Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

+ Required to possess specific visons abilities, including: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focus
