Assistant Beverage Manager, Southland Casino

Delaware North Gaming is searching for an experienced Assistant Beverage Manager to join our team at Southland Casino in West Memphis, Arkansas. In this exciting role you will support daily bar operations and oversee team performance, scheduling, purchasing, cost controls, alcohol compliance, and service quality while creating an engaging experience for guests. What will you do?

• Assist in the administration of all beverage and bar-related functions to ensure guest satisfaction, maintaining bar cost of sales and assist in restaurant planned cost of sales
• Prepare weekly schedules, hire, train, and manage team members, providing feedback on their responsibilities and alignment to Delaware North programs such as GuestPath, GreenPath, and other service standards
• Complete purchasing in compliance with company programs and policies and provide a safe work environment by following all safety and security policies and procedures
• Attend and participate in meetings, committees, and training
• Research and develop new policies, procedures, menus, and control policies that elevate service standards and accountability of staff, coordinating alcohol compliance and quality standards, as well as handling guest relations and monitor adherence to quality assurance standards

More about you

• Minimum two years' experience in a high-volume restaurant or catering environment
• No college degree required
• Strong food knowledge with a variety of menus and previous experience supervising service team members
• Experience effectively leading a team
• Verbal and written communication skills, creating a positive work environment
• Ability to manage their own time as well as the time of others
