    Job Summary

    The Assistant Division Manager supports the Division Manager in overseeing the daily operations, staff performance, customer service delivery, and overall branch success. This position assists in achieving operational, sales, safety, and customer satisfaction goals while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. The Assistant Division Manager serves as a leader within the branch and acts in the Division Manager's absence as needed.

Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

    Job Function

    • Assists with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding qualified candidates for branch positions.
    • Supports training and development of branch employees to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
    • Assists in supervising daily branch operations and workflow.
    • Provides coaching and performance feedback to employees.
    • Participates in performance evaluations and recommends developmental opportunities, promotions, and salary adjustments when appropriate.
    • Serves as acting Division Manager in the absence of the Division Manager.
    • Partner with the Division Manager to achieve branch sales, operational, productivity, and customer service objectives.
    • Assist in implementing division performance standards established by company leadership.
    • Monitor division operations to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Support and lead regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and operational updates.
    • Identify employee training needs and assist in coordinating professional development opportunities.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers through exceptional service and responsiveness.
    • Address customer concerns and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Analyze division performance metrics and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and profitability.
    • Assist with inventory, equipment, facilities, and operational resource management as needed.
    • Support local marketing, business development, and community engagement initiatives to increase brand awareness and business growth.
    • Collaborate with location leadership on special projects, branch growth initiatives, and operational improvements.
    • Ensure a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
    • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

    • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and industry experience required.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred.
    • Minimum of three (3) years of industry experience required.
    • Previous supervisory, team lead, or assistant management experience preferred.
    • Experience in branch operations, customer service, sales, or service-based environments highly preferred.
    • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
    • Ability to travel locally as needed for meetings, training, community events, or support of other branch locations.
    • Ability to work in a branch environment with frequent interaction with customers, employees, and vendors.
