    Description:

    We are seeking a hands-on dynamic individual to join our team as Assistant General Manager.

    The Assistant General Manager is responsible for all aspects of operations at the hotel, from day-to-day staff management to guest relations with a strong emphasis on F&B operations. The Assistant General Manager is an ambassador for the hotel and provides leadership and strategic planning to all departments in support of our service culture, maximized operational performance and guest satisfaction.

    Responsibilities:

    • Practices a hands-on and engaging leadership style, training and leading team members to delivery top of class guest experience.
    • Determines processes that identify and resolve problems and improve the guest experience.
    • Perform administrative duties that comply with all accounting procedures and SOP's, including the timely and accurate completion of payroll.
    • Coordinate all special guest programs, amenities, arrangements, etc. between all departments (Sales, Front Desk, F&B, Housekeeping, and Shuttle Service), to ensure flawless execution of guest expectations.
    • Participate in Interviewing, hiring, coaching and counselling associates.
    • Participate in associate orientation and coordinate position on-boarding process.
    • Monitoring of staff to ensure the adherence to established policies and procedures; delegation of duties; property inspections; and willingness and ability to engage in effective communication with field office support staff and property owners.
    • Achieve budgeted revenue and profit goal while balancing cost containment with guest and employee satisfaction.
    • Communicating clearly in written and verbal forms with the ability to present concepts and ideas to management, peers, and associates.
    • Complete and print all required daily/weekly/monthly reports, records, and logs, as needed.
    • Assist with administrative tasks pertaining to the various hotel departments.
    • Serve as Manager On Duty.
    • Lead by example to build morale and teamwork engagement.
    • Communicates goals and objectives and inspires associates to achieve those goals.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Financial & Accounting Responsibilities

    • Assist with Accounts Payable as directed, this includes processing Invoices and M3 Duties as directed by the General Manager
    • Maintain records of financial transactions reported by various departments.
    • Balance all cash, check, credit card and ledger accounts per proper protocol.
    • Accountable for maintaining banks and/or cash drawers in the F&B area.
    • Other duties as assigned by the General Manager

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for recruiting, hire, train, schedule and supervise F&B department personnel, ensuring the department is appropriately staffed in accordance with Company SOP.
    • Must possess strong communication skills and demonstrate leadership abilities.
    • Must exercise discretion, finesse and good judgment in handling issues that arise during the course of business.
    • Able to proficiently handle multiple simultaneous demands.

    Requirements:

    Requirements:

    • Must be able to effectively handle employee relations issues and resolve guest complaints.
    • Must possess strong attention to detail.
    • Must be able to handle difficult guest or employee situations in a tactful manner.
    • One to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Must be proficient in the use of common Windows-based computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Must be able to operate basic office machines, i.e., copier, fax, printer, etc.
    • Must be flexible in hours and days worked.
    • Availability on holidays and weekends.
    • Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities.
    • Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from groups of managers, coworkers, vendors and guests.
    • English verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be Serve Safe certified within 60 days of employment.
