The Role
As an Assistant General Manager at Life Alive, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the General Manager in driving success. You'll lead with passion and enthusiasm, fostering a collaborative environment to ensure effective team leadership. Key Responsibilities
- Passionate Leadership: Assistant General Managers (AGMs) at Life Alive are driven by passion and are committed to supporting the General Manager in achieving success.

- Community Building: AGMs play a vital role in building a vibrant community by hiring and onboarding mission-driven team members and embodying Life Alive's culture and standards.
- Food Quality and Preparation: AGMs are responsible for overseeing the ordering, storing, preparing, and production of our menu made entirely from scratch with organic ingredients.
- Operational Efficiency: AGMs enforce cleaning systems, delegate tasks, and ensure the dining environment is clean, prepared, and ready for guests, maintaining the open production lines' speed and integrity.
- Cost Balancing: AGMs work with GMs to execute cost-balancing strategies through inventory management, labor management, and food costing, aiming for consistent profitability.

- Owns overall café performance in partnership with the GM (people, product, profit)
- Directly supervises and develops a team of 20+ team members
- Makes staffing, scheduling, and labor decisions based on business needs
- Plays a key role in hiring, performance management, and terminations
- Uses independent judgment to resolve operational and team challenges
Our Assistant General Manager is someone who is:

Qualifications:
- 2 years of AGM experience
- Experience working on a large team (>30 people)
- Experience learning labor budget and utilizing scheduling software
- Guest service experience 2+ years
- History of growth in position
- Experience in QSR or white table cloth concepts
- Ability to work 9+ hours on your feet multiple days a week, nights and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
