Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees daily restaurant operations, maintaining seamless service and a superior dining environment.
Supports the General Manager in executing restaurant policies, procedures, and achieving goals.
- Assists with scheduling, inventory management, and financial reporting.
- Collaborates with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth communication and service flow.
- Develops and manages beverage programs within the restaurant’s operational framework.
Oversees performance and training of service and management staff in accordance with restaurant standards.
- Maintains high-quality standards for food, beverage, service, facilities, and guest satisfaction.
Communicates effectively across all levels of staff and guest interactions.
- Provides expert wine recommendations and pairings to enhance the dining experience.
Leads wine training for staff and manages wine inventory, including ordering and storage.
- Stays informed on industry trends and emerging wines to keep the program dynamic and current.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Ensure confidentiality and protect company assets.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to reach common goals, listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
- Hospitality oriented
- Proven experience as an Assistant Manager and/or Sommelier in a fine dining setting. Minimum of 5 years of Fine Dining experience
- Certified Sommelier, preferred
- Deep knowledge of wine regions, varieties, and food pairings
- Must have refined skills in public relations
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and follow-up skills
- Must have knowledge of POS Systems, OpenTable etc.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Fully Bilingual (Spanish/English)
