Assistant General Manager

PART TIME / ON-CALL – APPROX. 20 HOURS PER WEEK
This is an on-call role. You must be available 24/7 to respond to staffing, operational, and customer issues as they come up. Total hours average about 20 per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be available on-call 24/7 to handle coverage gaps, call-outs, and urgent store issues
• Supervise laundry attendants and porters across multiple stores
• Manage employee schedules, coverage, attendance, and performance
• Coordinate training
• Monitor daily operations and maintain consistent customer service
• Resolve customer concerns and employee issues
• Coordinate supplies, equipment maintenance, and repairs
• Support staffing and operations as the business expands

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous management experience in laundry services, laundromats, retail, housekeeping, or a similar environment
• Experience supervising staff across multiple locations
• Availability for 24/7 on-call coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a huge plus
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage staffing needs and daily operational priorities
• Dependable, hands-on, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to travel between Bronx and Queens locations on short notice
