The Goddard School of Beachwood is looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic
Assistant Infant Teacher to join our team! If you love working with babies and want to be part of a supportive, nurturing environment where you can grow as an early childhood educator, we would love to meet you.
As an Assistant Infant Teacher, you will work alongside our Lead Teachers to provide a safe, loving, and engaging classroom environment for our infants. Our infant teachers play an important role in helping our youngest students feel secure, cared for, and supported throughout their day.
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing warm, attentive, and nurturing care to infants
- Assisting the Lead Teacher with daily classroom routines and activities
- Feeding infants according to their individual schedules and family instructions
- Changing diapers and maintaining proper hygiene and sanitation procedures
- Supporting infants during naps, tummy time, floor play, and age-appropriate learning experiences
- Engaging with infants through talking, reading, singing, sensory play, and other developmentally appropriate activities
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe classroom
- Following all health, safety, licensing, and school policies and procedures
- Communicating professionally and positively with families and fellow staff members
- Working as part of a team to provide consistent and high-quality care
- Assisting with classroom transitions and coverage as needed
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Genuinely enjoys working with infants
- Is patient, nurturing, dependable, and attentive
- Works well as part of a team
- Has strong communication skills
- Is reliable and able to maintain consistent attendance
- Is willing to learn and grow within the field of early childhood education
- Can meet all state licensing and background-check requirements
Previous childcare or infant experience is preferred, but we are also interested in candidates who have a genuine passion for working with young children and are eager to learn.
